We are now:	Home in Dubai
(19-April-04): We posted a few pictures of the weddings (Brazil + Holland) as well as of our new life in Dubai: The house, the cats, Silvia's new hair style... The Wedding of the century in Morro Our romantic 2nd Wedding in Holland Our new life in Dubai (12-April-04): We have been neglecting the site. We have not written since we came back from the trip. Mea Culpa. Blame it all on our re-entry into the rat race, into corporate life, blame it on our settling back in Dubai, on being busy with decorating our new home, on Silvia drinking far too many coffees with the girlfriends, on the two cute kittens that we adopted... Life in Dubai is fantastic. Sil is back at Nutricia, and Chris at Cisco. We came back here with a head full of terrific memories, with experiences that will probably never be equaled, and within the shortest time, we had the feeling that we have never left.The memory of our trip is everywhere on our walls, in our home, and in our minds. We'll never forget it. So in stead of standing still, we are already planning the future trips: NYC and California for 3 weeks in June, Europe in August, a weekend in Beirut soon, and a long due shopping spree in Bangkok... (22-Dec-03): Not having had enough of one great party in Brazil, we decided to re-celebrate our marriage in Holland with all the people who could not make it the first time. Under a blanket of snow, we had a lovely little personal ceremony at the Rotterdam Town Hall, with a simple family like brunch after words... Naturally, and in keeping with our crooked traditions, we had the official wedding reception the day before the wedding... Just like we had our bachelor parties the day after the Brazil wedding. Happy Birthday Silvia... Marry me TODAY!
Silvia knew she had a surprise waiting for her 32nd birthday, but she could never imagine that it would be so extreme.
After having spent a super romantic dinner at a chic restaurant in Salvador de Bahia, Silvia was in heaven: Chris had just asked her to marry him, and they spent the whole evening talking about plans, dates, venues and invitees...
Bright and early the next day, they board a private bi-motor plane, heading to the surprise place. Sil is still under the impression that the demand in marriage of the previous night was the surprise that Chris had been organizing. How wrong she was.
As soon as they got to the guest house, Marian, the mother of Sil appeared. - "What are doing here mom?", - "It is your birthday today!". Immediately, 25 voices outside start singing happy birthday. Everybody was crying, laughing, smiling..

Six-months status
We have been six month on the run… Looking back at the past half year, a huge smile on our face, we cannot seem to agree on whether time has flown by or gone too slowly, we are still overwhelmed by all the things we have done and seen, and by a great sense of achievement: cause traveling - as opposed to being on a vacation - is indeed hard work!
